Security for online transactions
Electronic transactions to Withink* are made with the use of a Credit / Debit or Prepaid Card via the Bank of Piraeus or your PayPal account. Both organizations use the SSL protocol with 128bit encryption (the strongest to date) for secure online transactions. All your personal data is encrypted, including your credit card number, name and address, so they cannot be read or changed as they are transferred via the internet.
The SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol is the international standard on the internet for the verification of websites to online users and the encryption of data on web servers.
An encrypted SSL communication requires that all the information exchanged between a customer and a server be encrypted by the dispatching software and unencrypted by the receiving software, thus protecting personal data during their transmission. Furthermore, all information dispatched using the SSL protocol is protected by a mechanism that automatically verifies whether the data has been changed during its transmission.
